Position Requirements:

 

The Field Technician 2 shall work on various types of electronic computer and communications equipment, software, and related devices performing one or a combination of the following:


  • Install, maintain, repair, overhaul, troubleshoot, modify, construct, and test system hardware and software.

  • Isolate malfunctions using system tools and techniques.

  • Perform board level, corrective, adaptive, and perfective hardware maintenance on equipment identified in the system baseline documentation

  • Return faulty equipment to operating condition.

  • Perform site inventories and redline updates to site baseline documentation.

  • Able and willing to travel to CONUS and OCONUS (including hostile areas).


 

This position requires one of the following:

§         A high school diploma with collect or technical credits/degree and multiple certifications in the maintenance of SUN, Apple, and NET™ products and 2 (two) years of experience as a hardware technician with computer and network troubleshooting experience

§         4 (four) years of experience as a hardware technician with computer and network troubleshooting experience. 

 

Clearance Requirements: Top Secret/SCI Clearance
