This position provides the opportunity for someone to apply their talents and expertise to increase productivity & successes for our customers in a dynamic fast, team oriented environment.


Duties: 

Proposes and implements network policy to include firewalls, Internet Applications, modems, communication servers, and WAN connectivity. Responsible for the design, installation and maintenance of the company (or department’s) local area network. Responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and architecting cost effective LAN application solutions that make the most of resources and technology available in meeting business requirements. Evaluates vendor hardware and software for large, complex networks. Designs and implements interface programs. Develops LAN security procedures. Maintains applicable INFOCON and DISA alerts and bulletins. Implements recommended security changes to include programs and applications, modifying firewalls, and hosts. Troubleshoots complex LAN problems. Demonstrated ability to determine network and application performance, evaluate and diagnose network performance issues and recommend and implement solutions for network performance improvement. Usually has supervisory responsibility. 

Position Requirements:

Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or Management Information Systems) or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related (data center environment) experience. Responsible for and requires in-depth knowledge of Windows Server System Administration, server hardware configuration. Will work directly with software development and production operation teams to support enterprise software applications on twenty severs. Must have experience troubleshooting server configuration problems related to patching and updating. Scripting skills a plus. Familiarity with SQL Server 2005, IIS administration a plus. Direct experience with geographic clustering and failover solutions a plus. Direct experience with VMWARE ESX server a plus.

Successful candidate will have completed a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
