Obviously campaigning is important to the political process but a financial crisis the size of which we're in right now requires all our best minds to determine a solution. Let's turn the situation into a time when great minds work together--Obama and McCain--for the good of the country and to practice the bipartisan leadership that they both claim--and put the mudslinging on the back burner for a couple of days.
Depends on who you listen to, tho the polls seem to favor Obama. Regardless, whoever wins gets to inherit this mess. So who will be more effective in bringing our country out of crisis and back to a steady or better, growing state. And who will be able to effectively protect us from the global conflicts? While Obama showed his ability to study and speak to the security issues, McCain has the foriegn policy experience hands down. He knows the leaders and what's necessary to address the situation. And he realizes you can't play nice with the enemy. As for the economic crisis, Obama acknowledged that there must be savings, however he immediately brought up worthy but costly plans. Right now we are in crisis which requires hard decisions and major cost cutting. McCain is ready to freeze all spending aside from the security and associated requirements.
As a side note, my question about Obama's tax savings plan: how can he effect 95% of the population when 40% don't even pay these taxes. But everyone pays payroll tax which Obama proposes raising. How does this help?
