The following are examples of the work performed by STRATIS.

Federal Aviation Administration – Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) — Each time a plane takes off or lands in the United States, safety is increased based on the support that STRATIS provides to the FAA’s Runway Incursion Information Evaluation Program (RIIEP), the system used to apprehend the root cause of surface incidents and runway incursions. The STRATIS team supporting the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization has gained a far-reaching reputation for their responsive, high quality services. An FAA Air Traffic IT official stated that the team “is making a truly visible difference” at the Air Traffic Organization.

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Space Shuttle/Space Station — NASA trusts STRATIS with the verification and validation of all major science, human spaceflight, and infrastructure programs. Additionally, STRATIS has supported modeling and simulation for human factors on the Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs.

USSOCOM – Enterprise Information Technology Contract (EITC) — In support of the 46,000 U.S. Special Operations Forces users worldwide, STRATIS consolidated 40 contracts, held by 35 companies, employing 725 people, and now maintains service at 33 sites. They have struck a balance between growing technical complexity and increasing costs, while providing quality IT services across the enterprise.

Montgomery County, Maryland – IT Seat Management — In October 2002, residents in the Washington, D.C. suburbs were concerned when a sniper targeted the area. Law enforcement needed a “War Room” and they needed it fast. Working overnight from 3 P.M. until 6 A.M., STRATIS installed and networked 100 computers for use by not only Montgomery County Police, but also law enforcement from throughout the District, the Maryland and Virginia suburbs, and for several Federal Government agencies. The STRATIS team received a commendation from the Montgomery County, Maryland Sheriff’s Office for its “Outstanding Performance” in meeting these rigorous, but critical requirements.
